Brighton Comedy Venues
Brighton on Hove is a lively seaside town that delivers laughs every week. It's a liberal place that embraces LGBTQIA+ culture, while being only an hour on the train from the capital.
You can really make a weekend of it by catching a few fairground rides, eating fish and chips and going to see alternative comedy acts for your evening dessert.
Being by the seaside gives the whole thing an extra lift.

The Walrus

The Walrus is seconds walk from the coast and doubles up as a nightclub when it comes to the early hours.
This vibrant club often hosts weekday stand up gigs like 'Tusk Club Comedy with Tez Ilyas'.
If you weren't already impressed with it's location, The Walrus boasts a beautiful Sunday roast to help evade that dreaded hangover.

Artista Cafe and Gallery

The Artista Cafe and Gallery is a stunning venue on the South Coast. They hold open mics and because it's an independent venue, they can do what they want!
Very highly rated amongst locals and tourists - you can go to the Secret Comedy Club night on Wednesdays and Saturdays to have your giggle meter topped up.

Caxton Arms

Near the St Nicholas Rest Garden, The Caxton Arms is a warm, cosy boozer with a beer garden. Sold yet?! If not keep reading... they do amazing burgers, fish and chips and pub classics.

Tide Beach Club

500 person max venue and a nightclub - this one is for the more daring and sociable individuals!
You can probably guess where this one lies on the South Coast? That's right - inland.. only joking. The Tide Beach Club is definitely the place to be in the summer - especially if you're after a giggle.

The Brunswick has been around for over 70 years and is wheelchair accessible. With not one but two live event spaces - you can be sure to have all of your senses filled with joy.

It hosts a Summer Comedy Festival featuring you guessed it.. comedians.. and plenty of improv shows.
