This 240 seat venue has a cosy pub interior for a more relaxed comedy night. As a not for profit venue, they put laughs before profit so you know the audience comes first. The venue also has open mic nights frequently with some even having just 3 minutes to wow you. Your fee may even go towards helping the local community so get charitable!
Ulster Hall

Ulster hall features a larger than life auditorium to get the laughs in. From from up and coming comedians to big name comedians like Jason Manford or, from live audience podcasts like Saving Grace and even open mic nights. This could be the place to look if you fancy anything or simply don't know what you're really looking for.
Monday Night Comedy Club

Head down to the Pavilion bar for comedy on a Monday, every Monday, every... month... you get the idea. Headed by the great Luke McGibbon, this established comedy event is essential to see the hottest new Belfast talent on the block. They have every weeks line-up written on a blackboard and posted on their Instagram for you to see before hand, no fuss no muss, just what you need on a chill Monday.
Cabaret Supper Club

This event has comedy nights within a 1920's live cabaret venue. The event is definitely a must if you want a venue with good comedy with a twist, being teleported back in time. Relatively new to the scene the venue started comedy nights in April 2025 with experience in the business in other events, go see how they're getting along and show some support!
Lavery's Comedy Club

This Victorian bar has been remodelled and designed to fit in to the modern era with a fresh aesthetic and unique design for a night of drinks, food and looking good while doing it. Best of all, its even got comedy! On a Wednesday or Thursday this could be your mid week laugh you need after a long work week.
Belfast Empire Music Hall

A veteran in the business for over 30 years, Get there in the first 50 attending for a free pint too! Early bird gets the worm as they say. This can be your Tuesday night entertainment with "The Empire Laughs Back" comedy show, a distinct and highly raved about part of its weekly schedule.
Cavehill Comedy Club
Located at: 169-175 Cavehill Rd, Belfast BT15 5BP
This comedy club with a speakeasy look is where you can go for your laughs, keep an eye out though, this event features quality over quantity with only a few shows available. That's worth it when the events can also be at Belfast Castle (if you're looking for a little glamour and history with your comedy) or perhaps you prefer the sound of McConnell's Distillery a former prison turned distillery turned comedy event for the evening (Take a second to read through that again if you need too). If you want a good laugh rolled into a good environment, this could be one to look out for.
Mandela Hall

This could give you some nostalgia from your Uni days, Mandela Hall is located within Queen's university. Large venues attract large names at this venue hosting legends of their era like Bill Bailey and Peter Kay. The shows are rarer to show up than most venues on account of live music being played there frequently, but when they do you will be getting big names and even bigger laughs.
The MAC

The Metropolitan arts centre is a place known for showcasing art and culture throughout its walls, and what's more cultural than the dry humour of the UK? With household names on TV like Tom Davis and Angela Barnes to less known (but just as funny) names present, you get old fashioned laughs in a modern day arts centre full of culture to immerse yourself in if pubs aren't quite your thing.
Waterfront Hall

This massive Belfast venue has a massive reputation for hosting some of the biggest events in the city, from Snooker championships to huge music acts like Van Morrison, the comedy bears no exception with names like Jim Jeffries performing if big international and household names in a grand hall venue is more your thing. The hall collaborates with Ulster Hall above to collate some of the best talent around.
